PetBux Inc., a Delaware corporation ("PetBux," "we," "us," or "our"), provides the PetBux cashback affiliate marketplace, including the PetBux website, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, installing the browser extension, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your information. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
PetBux is a cashback affiliate marketplace. We partner with retailers and brands that pay us a commission when we refer a customer who makes a purchase. We share a portion of that commission with you as cashback.
PetBux does not sell products. You purchase directly from the participating retailer or brand, on their website, subject to their terms, pricing, shipping, and return policies. PetBux is not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.
We may also display discount codes and promotional offers made available to us by participating retailers and networks. Those offers are provided by the retailer, not by PetBux.
To use the Service, you must:
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@petbux.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
We may refuse, suspend, or close an account at our discretion, including where we believe these Terms have been breached.
To earn cashback on a purchase, you must:
Cashback tracking relies on browser cookies. Ad blockers, privacy browsers, cookie blockers, VPNs, and private browsing modes can prevent a purchase from being tracked. Where a purchase is not tracked, cashback cannot be credited.
Cashback rates are shown on the relevant brand page at the time of your click and may change without notice. The rate that applies to your purchase is the rate in effect at the time of the click that is credited with the transaction.
PetBux may display discount codes, promotional offers, and other savings made available by participating retailers and affiliate networks.
Codes are provided by the retailer, not by PetBux. The terms, conditions, eligibility, minimum order values, category restrictions, expiry dates, and availability of any code are set by the retailer. PetBux does not control them and cannot guarantee that any code will apply to your particular order.
Codes may be combined with cashback. Using a discount code obtained through PetBux does not disqualify your order from earning cashback. See Section 5 for how cashback is calculated where a discount has been applied.
Codes obtained elsewhere may cancel your cashback. Discount codes found on third-party coupon websites frequently carry that website's own affiliate tracking. Applying such a code during checkout can override PetBux's tracking on your order, in which case PetBux receives no commission and no cashback can be credited to you. To protect your cashback, use only codes obtained through PetBux, or no code at all.
We remove expired codes but cannot guarantee availability. We refresh code data from our affiliate network partners regularly and remove codes that have expired. Retailers may withdraw or change an offer at any time without notice to us.
Cashback is calculated on the net purchase amount — the amount you actually pay for qualifying products, after any discounts have been applied.
The following are excluded from the amount on which cashback is calculated:
Example. On a $100 order with a 25% discount code applied, you pay $75. Cashback is calculated on $75, not on $100.
The following purchases and categories do not earn cashback:
Individual retailers may apply further exclusions. Where we are aware of a material exclusion, we will state it on the relevant brand page.
Pending and confirmed cashback. Cashback appears in your account as "pending" once a transaction is reported to us. It becomes "confirmed" once the retailer confirms the purchase is complete and outside its return window. This typically takes 30 to 90 days, and in some cases longer.
Payouts. You may request a payout once you have accumulated at least $10.00 USD in confirmed cashback. Payouts are available by PayPal, Venmo, or gift card, at your choice from the options available at the time of request.
Payout requests are generally processed within 5 to 10 business days. You are responsible for providing accurate payout details. PetBux is not responsible for funds sent to an incorrect address or account provided by you.
Adjustments. Where a retailer reverses, reduces, or rejects a transaction after cashback has been credited, we may adjust your balance accordingly, including where the balance has already been paid out. Where a reversal follows a payout, the amount may be deducted from future cashback.
Taxes. You are responsible for any tax consequences of cashback you receive. PetBux does not provide tax advice.
You may earn a referral reward when someone you refer creates a PetBux account through your referral link or code and completes a qualifying purchase.
Reward. The referral reward is up to 50% of the net commission PetBux actually receives from the merchant on the referred member's qualifying purchases, up to a maximum of $50.00 USD per referred member.
Conditions.
Changes. Referral reward amounts, eligibility requirements, and payout conditions are determined by PetBux and may be changed or discontinued at any time. Changes apply to referrals made after the change takes effect.
PetBux works with third-party affiliate networks to track purchases and receive commissions. These currently include Impact, Awin, Ascend, ShareASale, and other approved networks.
Cashback depends on these networks and on the retailer accurately reporting and confirming your purchase. PetBux is not responsible for:
Missing cashback. If a purchase does not appear in your account within 7 days, you may submit a claim through your account or by contacting support@petbux.com, within 90 days of the purchase date. We will raise the claim with the relevant network. Resolution depends on the network and the retailer, and we cannot guarantee an outcome.
The PetBux browser extension helps you activate cashback and apply available discount codes while you shop.
What the extension does. When you visit a participating retailer, the extension may notify you that cashback is available and let you activate it. At checkout, the extension may automatically test discount codes available for that retailer and apply the one that produces the greatest saving on your order.
What the extension accesses. To do this, the extension reads the web address of the page you are on and, on participating retailer checkout pages, reads order information such as the cart total and the coupon field. The extension writes only into the retailer's discount or coupon field, and makes no other change to any page or to your order.
Your own codes are protected. Where you have already applied a discount code, the extension will only test whether a better discount is available. Where none is found, your code is retained. The extension will not replace a discount you applied with a smaller one.
Your control. Automatic code application can be turned off in the extension settings. You can disable or uninstall the extension at any time through your browser. Uninstalling does not affect cashback already earned.
Limitations. The extension does not work on every retailer or every checkout layout. Where it cannot apply a code, you may still apply one manually. The extension does not guarantee that any discount will be found or that any code will succeed.

Transactional messages. We send messages relating to your account and your activity, including purchase tracking notifications, cashback confirmations, payout confirmations, password resets, and important service notices. These are necessary to provide the Service and cannot be unsubscribed from while you hold an account.
Marketing messages. We may send newsletters, offers, and promotional messages. You can unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in any marketing message or through your account settings. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect transactional messages.
Sponsored messages. We may send messages sponsored by participating brands. Sponsored messages are clearly identified as such.
Which sponsored messages you receive may be informed by your purchase history with PetBux — for example, brands whose products you have bought through PetBux, or the categories you shop in. We do not sell or disclose your personal information to sponsoring brands for this purpose. Sponsored messages are sent by PetBux, and the sponsoring brand does not receive your contact details or purchase history from us as part of the sending.
You can opt out of sponsored messages separately, without unsubscribing from other marketing, through your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how your information is used.
We may suspend or close an account, withhold or reverse cashback, and refuse payouts where we reasonably believe a member has:
Where an account is closed for any of the above, cashback and referral rewards held in that account may be forfeited.
An account is considered inactive if you have not logged in or made a tracked purchase for 24 consecutive months.
We may close an inactive account after giving you at least 30 days' written notice by email to the address on your account. Where a confirmed cashback balance of $10.00 USD or more remains, we will provide instructions for requesting a payout before closure.
PetBux does not charge account maintenance, inactivity, or dormancy fees. The Service is free to use.
PetBux and the PetBux logo are trademarks of PetBux Inc. All content on the Service, other than third-party materials, is owned by PetBux or its licensors.
Retailer and brand names, logos, and trademarks displayed on the Service are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on the Service indicates that the retailer or brand participates in an affiliate programme through which PetBux may earn a commission. It does not indicate any endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership beyond that relationship.
You may not copy, scrape, republish, or make commercial use of any part of the Service without our written permission.
PetBux earns a commission from the retailers and brands we link to. That commission is how we are able to pay you cashback and how the Service is free to use.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
PetBux does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that cashback will track on any given purchase, that any discount code will work, or that any rate, offer, or code displayed is accurate or current.
PetBux is not responsible for the products, pricing, availability, delivery, service, or conduct of any retailer or brand. Any dispute concerning a purchase is between you and that retailer.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PETBUX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
PETBUX'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) $50.00 USD, OR (B) THE TOTAL CASHBACK CREDITED TO YOUR ACCOUNT IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. Where that applies to you, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PetBux Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules, rather than in court. The arbitration shall take place in Orange County, California, before a single arbitrator, and shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Class action waiver. You and PetBux each agree that any dispute will be brought in an individual capacity only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect its intellectual property rights.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@petbux.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@petbux.com. Before closing, you may request payout of any confirmed cashback balance of $10.00 USD or more. Pending cashback that has not yet been confirmed at the time of closure may be forfeited.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, where we believe you have breached these Terms or where required by law.
Sections 13 through 18 survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where a change is material, we will notify you by email or by a notice on the Service at least 14 days before it takes effect.
Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Where you do not agree, you may close your account.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document shows when these Terms were last revised.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Subject to Section 18, the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
